Snake gets into the property: How to spot plants and garden features that disrupt Feng Shui
Doctor heals the sickness of a patient, whilst a Feng Shui master is the doctor of a space or property.
A genuine Feng Shui Master must be able to identify whether a property is strong or weak, what the sickness of the property is, how to heal that sickness, and how to balance the energy of the property so that a family or business can benefit.
Many people enjoy planting flowers and trees to beautify and green their homes. However, there is a great deal of Feng Shui knowledge involved in planting. That is the reason why our Garden Design, Form and Chi courses are so important. Here I would like to share some basic Feng Shui knowledge about planting:
- If the land plot where your property is located is not very large, trees should never be taller than the property.
- The gate, door, and access to the house should be free from any blockage.
- Windows should not be blocked by trees or plants.
- Trees and plants should be trimmed regularly to avoid overgrowth.
- Any big or tall trees blocking the Southeast direction mean that the occupants may receive misleading information and/or experience communication problems. This can also affect the first daughter living in the house.
A house is for protection, and people sleep in the house to recharge their energy. If plants grow attached to the exterior walls of a property, they will adversely affect the structural integrity of the wall. In Feng Shui, this is called ‘Snake Gets into the Property’ (騰蛇⼊宅).
The plants will drain the energy of the house, as illustrated. The house will then have less energy to support its occupants, who may gradually become weaker over time. This may affect both their health and wealth.
